To me, photography is more than just the act of taking a photo. It is an art form that to master, takes just as much practice and dedication as mastering something like painting or drawing. Yes, it is a versatile medium that almost anyone can use but to create art with a photographic process is another thing entirely.

For the past six years, I have been trying to learn as much as possible about photography. I have created a number of projects, each one in an attempt to expand my creative knowledge and hone my skills. Throughout my career as a photographer, I have always been based in South-East England, but I often aim for my work to reflect on wider conversations than just those found in this slice of the UK.

In the future, my wish is to share the passion I have for photography by becoming a lecturer on a university course, whilst also creating and exhibiting my own work. Hopefully this will drive other photographers to push themselves to be the best artist they can be.

If I can help those that I teach by giving them the guidance they need, as well as inspiring people that see my work, I would feel that my purpose as a photographer would be fulfilled.
